From the Blue Mountains to Sydney

The view from the window this morning made me doubt if it really was spring. Fog everywhere I looked. My exploration revealed that this is quite normal here, as the clouds are trapped by the mountains, often leading to fog.

The first destination was the Scenic World in Katoomba. We took the Scenic Railway (inclined railway with a 52-degree incline) down to the valley floor. A circular path led through the rainforest to the Scenic Cableway, which took us back out of the valley.

After that, we headed towards Sydney, with a stop at the Olympic Park from the 2000 Olympics. After checking into our accommodation, we took a tour in The Rocks neighborhood. I will now be spending 3 days in Sydney.
