What a great day. After we slept in and had breakfast, we just started walking. We wanted to discover a beach that wasn't noisy or crowded. The motto for the day was: relaxed!
So we strolled off after taking a quick look at Google Maps, which was easy to get to. Then we noticed a beach nearby. This could be reached via the Monkey Trail 🐒. The path lived up to its name! We were in 7th heaven. The little ones always captivate us straight away and we can hardly get enough of them. We reached our chosen beach via a path through a piece of forest that went slightly uphill. With the hot weather today we went straight into the sea. Then we lay on the beach and tried to cope with the heat and the midday sun. At some point it got too hot for us and we went looking for a fresh coconut, which Ronja had wanted for a long time. Nina ordered a delicious mango-banana shake. In front of the paradisiacal backdrop, the drinks tasted even better.
Our lunch was Thai and was tasty to acceptable. Suddenly it was super late and time for sunset. We opted for a fresh fruit cup from the side of the road, which we enjoyed on the beach. We really liked the evening atmosphere.
After freshening up at the hotel and booking accommodation for tomorrow, we headed out to eat some roti. Since we have withdrawal symptoms from chocolate, the choice was easy for us and this time we ordered 2 roti with chocolate! Yummy! Leeeeeeecker! Afterwards we visited a bar where there was live music. The drinks were expensive, but the music was very good. The music was played in a country style, which really suited our taste. We moved to another bar and had a second cocktail.
Since we will be picked up at 8:15 a.m. tomorrow morning and taken to the ferry to Ko Phi Phi, we are now lying contentedly in bed.
We both really enjoyed the day and we give it a 10/10. The best thing was that we didn't have a plan and just lived the day and saw what we wanted.
Waiters are constantly chatting to us and trying to lure us into their restaurants. One asked “How are you?” the answer was short and sweet, “Fine.”
Until tomorrow
