Tour data: Zero kilometers by bike, many by foot and by train.
Weather: Still beautiful, Nordic spring. And it's getting warmer every day. Today at 2 p.m. it was 11°.
The day started at 8 a.m. with a great breakfast, which was also highly praised by previous guests. It was impossible to eat everything. Claus, the host, told me that his wife comes from the Philippines. There, the guest is always offered more food than they can eat. I was able to take some of it with me, so the day is also saved in terms of food. Claus recommended a visit to the Vasa Museum. I walked part of the way on foot and part by train. You don't have to buy a ticket, life here is cashless. You simply hold your credit card to the scanner and the gate opens. I must not exchange any money, everything is paid for with a credit card here, even the coin for the toilet is replaced by the credit card.
On the way to the city, I first walked on foot, so I could use my new and great walking sticks. After crossing a high bridge, I finally took the subway. It's called Tunnelbana here. Sometimes it also runs above ground, so there is also something to see. I got off at the Gamla Stan (Old Town) station, because I have good memories of this part of Stockholm. The path also leads to the Royal Palace and to the water. But you can hardly escape from it, because it's everywhere.
Afterwards, I walked to the Vasa Museum and watched the film and listened to all the information offered through a link. And I looked at this great ship from all heights and took many photos. You can see them all here.
I also have good memories of the Globe, which is now called Avicii Arena. The Swiss Representation Orchestra under the direction of Christoph Walter had a great performance here, which I was able to capture on video.
After visiting the Globen Shopping Centre, which apparently is also open on Sundays, I took the Tunnelbana directly to my accommodation.
