Today we had a long drive ahead of us. Our destination is Cu Chi, a district north of Ho Chi Minh City. Since there was no major city to stay overnight between our starting point and Cu Chi, we decided to drive the approximately 230km today. The route ran straight for 65km without a single curve. As a result, we made much faster progress than in previous days. Markus' motorbike kept having problems at full throttle, so we settled for an average speed of about 50 km/h. In a small town on the way, we had a lunch break at a roadside restaurant. Here and also on the route, we are greeted friendly with a '(H)ello', especially by children. It seems that not too many Europeans drive around here.
In the darkness, we reached our hotel in Cu Chi. We were greeted so strongly by three barking dogs that it almost knocked me off the motorbike at the end of the day. We had a few beers and ate fries for dinner in a bar around the corner.
