At the beginning of the week, we visited the city of Brisbane and met up with an old classmate from vocational school. Then we continued towards Bayron Bay and spent a few hours in the hippie town of Nimbim, Australia. The next stop was Port Macquarie, where we visited a koala hospital, where koalas that were affected by a fire or hit by cars live. Below, there is Ana Bay, where we went camel riding, and by the sea, there is a beach that turns into huge sand dunes. The next day, we planned to visit the Figure 8 Pools. These are big holes in a cliff by the sea. We did a one-hour hike through the forest and down the beach. When we reached the beginning of the cliffs, some people were already coming back and said it was too dangerous and that you couldn't see anything of the pools because the waves were too high. Feeling disappointed, we hiked back up. On Friday, we had to clean the car and return it :( Last weekend in Sydney, Australia. After 5 1/2 months, the Australian adventure is over, and tomorrow we're heading to New Zealand with a smiling and teary eye.
