Philadelphia

On Sunday (December 3rd, 2023) we drove from Washington to Philadelphia. On the way there we drove through Baltimore, but didn't see anything of the city due to the extreme fog. Philadelphia is known for its street art, the film Rocky and its role in the independence of the United States. While street art can be seen all over the city, “Rocky fever” is limited to one spot. On the stairs in front of the art museum you can see many people jogging up the stairs and doing boxing poses. Once even a group of about 15 people at the same time. It was really fun to watch 😁.

During the Revolutionary War, independence was declared in Philadelphia and the Constitution of the United States was adopted here. The two most famous sights are Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, both of which were originally created by the British.

We ended the day with the real reason for visiting Philadelphia: The Philli Cheese Steak Sandwich 😉😁.

Tomorrow we're going back to New York.
