10th Day - Bua Tong Sticky Waterfalls

For today's day, after breakfast we have planned a trip to Bua Tong to visit the Sticky Waterfalls. The journey there takes around 1 hour and we once again see very fertile land. We pass by rice and corn fields as we head back into the mountains. Banana, pineapple, lemon, and longan plantations accompany us. Longan is a tree with fruits similar to lychee, and its core is used for Tiger Balm. Part of the waterfalls is closed off, but what we see here is still very impressive. The water flows over the rocks and the limestone coating makes the rocks sticky, allowing us to easily hold on to them. Surrounding us is jungle and we descend and ascend many stairs. With temperatures around 34 degrees, it can get quite sweaty. One path takes us to the source of the waterfall. The water is crystal clear, shimmering almost emerald green in the sunlight. Here stands a fireproof kettle on a rack, which is the garbage incinerator. Such kettles are present in small villages in front of each house, as there is no garbage collection here.
