Day 8: Bersagel

उजवाडाक आयलां: 13.07.2019

After a big English breakfast and an hour-long car ride, we are greeted by Grandma Regina and Grandpa Frank in Kristiansand. Together, we take a detour of about 1 hour to drive to the southern cape, the southernmost point of Norway.
The Lindesnes Fyr is Norway's oldest and southernmost lighthouse on the mainland. On February 27, 1655, Norway's first beacon was lit here. We climb the steps up to the tower and catch a glimpse of the North Sea in beautiful colors. The sun is shining. Erik and his grandma climb over the rocks and through the underground tunnels. They clearly enjoy it. David sits in the child carrier on Renes back. We visit the entire site with its accompanying museum. Now we have a little snack and then we need almost 3 hours for the drive to Bersagel. The route is initially very curvy and passes by the sea with postcard-like views. Everywhere you can see the wooden houses painted in red or white. We traverse the mountains with many tunnels or bridges and the further north we go, the fewer trees there are. There are also many sheep grazing in the pastures. It reminds us of Scotland.
Around 5 p.m. we reach our house for the next week. Now we have to unpack everything from the cars and set up the house. We are staying in a 200 sqm house with 5 bedrooms right on the fjord. Our view from the living room is amazing. We barbecue for dinner. Michael and Simone with the children also arrive exhausted on their bikes at 9:30 p.m.

Wieviel Tage war Michael den unterwegs? Ich mag mir das gar nicht vorstellen.

Anna-Katharina
