From now on, the adventure should begin, in fact it already started in Barra do António. The next morning, the owner of the accommodation drove us to a bus stop. He explained that several vans or buses pass by there, from which the drivers shout "Maragogi" and we should stop them to go to Maragogi. However, no bus or van passed by that was going to Maragogi. After waiting for 1.5 hours and unsuccessfully trying to talk to three bus drivers to find out if they were going to Maragogi, we simply got on a bus that was at least going in the right direction.

Just before the final stop in Porto Clavo, the bus driver suddenly shouted "everyone out, Maragogi". All passengers hurried out and ran to a van. We grabbed our backpacks and also jumped into the van without asking. We actually arrived in Maragogi.

We were incredibly hungry, so we ate something first. Then we walked to our hostel, which was located a bit outside. We were also impressed by this hostel, as we had a private room for €10 per person per night. Since no one else was at the hostel at the beginning, we also had a bathroom, kitchen, and lounge for ourselves, so it felt like a small apartment.

The courtyard with the pool was being renovated, so it wasn't as nice, but no problem, as the beaches of Maragogi were enchanting.

Anne had read on the internet that you can book tours like snorkeling and other excursions at the Dolphin Hostel. However, we were initially greeted somewhat unfriendly there because the owner believed that only hotel guests could book tours, so he made it very clear to us that it was a favor. What exactly that meant was not clear to us, as the hotel would also benefit from us. The hotel owner was a German from Essen and his Brazilian family.

After looking around a bit, we decided to book a tour with the Germans anyway, as everything else seemed rather dubious. A mother and daughter had booked a private trip to Praia dos Carneiros for the next day. We contributed to the costs. But the next day it quickly became clear that this excursion did not meet our expectations at all. We went to a large complex called Bora Bora. It was crowded with people. We decided to take a ride on a catamaran, which also turned out to be a disaster. Instead of 4 beaches, we only went to two beaches. It was loud and crowded and the beaches were really not nice. After finally getting off the catamaran, we had a Caipirinha to forget 😂. Then we left the fenced area to walk along the beach and find something affordable to eat. So the day turned out to be beautiful after all. As soon as you moved away from the complex, there is an incredibly beautiful beach.

At around 4:00 p.m., we wanted to go back to Maragogi, but the daughter made us wait for 1.5 hours.

The next day, we didn't go on an excursion because it was raining.

On February 16, we got up early in the morning to take a boat to the "piscinas naturais". There, you could observe many small fish through a diving mask and snorkel. At around 11:00 a.m., we then took a van to Praia Antunes, which definitely surpassed all the beaches I had seen so far. In the evening, we packed our things because we were going to continue early the next morning. On Sunday, February 17, we drove with the daughter from the Dolphin Hotel to a sandbank. There were also many small fish there. Unfortunately, it rained in between. Then we were dropped off on the road, where we waited for a van to pass by, which took us to the border of the state. At the border, we switched to another van, which took us to Barreiros. There, we had to wait for about 30 minutes until a bus passed by, which took us to Recife.
