The night in the roof tent was quite restless as strong gusts of wind pulled and jerked at everything. I was afraid that one of the trees would fall and...

In the morning it was cloudy, as predicted by the weather forecast. But that didn't stop us from going to Castle Rock. The wild weather gave the adrenaline-filled climbing adventure the final kick. The Granite Skywalk at Castle Rock is not only a popular tourist attraction, but also accessible to ordinary people like us. We definitely had fun. And since we went up there before breakfast, we didn't have to share this charismatic place with the many other hikers we met on the way back.

However, the next destination, Tree in the Rock, was disappointing.

During breakfast, we planned our last days in Western Australia. Since we only passed through the Margaret River region on our last trip, and warmer weather is predicted there, we decide to speed up a bit today and do the last shopping.

We find our overnight rest at Fernhook Falls between Walpole and Pemberton on an idyllic forest campsite. The last 20 km there unexpectedly lead us past beautiful Karri trees on neglected tracks.
