Going preaching

Among other things, I set out to get to know the preaching service here in the country. There are some other hurdles to overcome here. Firstly, the language: Plautdietsch! With my standard German, I understand maybe a quarter, if that. Secondly, the distances here are much longer. That means that in order to talk about God Jehovah with people who speak Plautdietsch, we have to drive for a good 2-3 hours by car. It's important to note that we spend most of that time on gravel roads. When it's dry, it's already quite bumpy, but when it starts to rain, it becomes quite adventurous and dangerous. That's why we've been closely watching the clouds and the rain in order to make our way home BEFORE it starts raining. So I haven't experienced any soaked, slippery clay roads yet (I'm also not sure if I even want to).

We've encountered some people who were interested in talking to us about the Bible. They are friendly and would like to know what God tells people through the Bible. The important and good message that God communicates to us.

Then there's another way of preaching. Perhaps you've already seen a Jehovah's Witnesses trolley. We've also been 'on the move' here in Santa Cruz with these trolleys. Many people have seen us and some have taken something to read.

If I have sparked your interest, just approach a Jehovah's Witness at the trolley or visit the website www.jw.org where you can learn about the Bible or Jehovah's Witnesses! :)
