Nice and good campsite, but after 2 days we are glad to go back to freedom 😅. Laundry freshly washed, kisses with windows cleaned and visited Takis again. This morning we headed to Monemvasia. Burki doesn't feel so well today, so he stays at the van. Monemvasia is a small town that was an important stronghold and fortress in the Byzantine Empire. It is located on a rock off the coast of Laconia in the southeastern part of the Peloponnese. You can drive to the city gate by car, after that it's only on foot. I walked directly up from below on a small path to the upper gate and then continued walking to the plateau. From up here I had a nice panoramic view. Except for a beautiful Byzantine church, there are more or less only ruins. On the way back, I went through the small old town. I avoided the narrow streets with taverns and souvenir shops. After about 2 hours I was back at the van. Then we went to the overnight spot. Today I cooked fresh spinach with tomatoes and pasta. Yummy yummy.
