Botanic Garden + Punta de Teno

Welcome back!

We are still doing very well. The temperatures have been very high in the last few days, so we didn't do much.

The day before yesterday we visited the Botanic Garden in Puerto de la Cruz. A park with many impressive plants from all over the world. We were most fascinated by the giant banyan tree with its strong branches and aerial roots. These are roots that grow above the ground and relieve the branches. In the evening, we watched the sunset from our balcony.

Yesterday, we spent the morning at the beach. The waves here are also gigantic and have immense power.
Later in the day, we took an evening walk through the city. There is a lot going on in the city in the evening and some restaurants and small bars are fully occupied.

Today, in the morning, we tested the pool area at our apartment for the first time. We had the huge pool all to ourselves. After lunch, we went to Buenavista del Norte to take the bus to Punta de Teno. This is the westernmost point of the island of Tenerife. From there, we could see the neighboring island of La Gomera and the Los Gigantes. After some time, we made our way back home to cook our dinner. We spent the rest of the evening on our balcony.
