Königinstown

On the way from Lake Tepako to Königinstown, we have spectacular views in the best weather. First, we can have a perfect, cloudless view of the snow-covered Mount Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand (3724m). We don't have such days often.

Afterwards, we drive over the Lindis Pass to Königinstown, the center for adventure and winter sports, surrounded by vineyards and old mines. Here, you can enjoy paragliding, skydiving, and bungee jumping.

Königinstown is located on the beautiful Lake Whakatipo and serves as the gateway to Fjordland, the largest national park in New Zealand.

We took the cable car up to Ben Lomont 1748m and had a spectacular view of Königinstown and Lake Whakatipo.

The weather is uniquely beautiful.
