Ring Ring, 'Bautzi get rid of that!' 'That's the telephone and it's on your side' Danny called and asked if we were ready to eat. Clearly, we were not. So this time we arrived last :-) The birthday child was greeted and congratulated enthusiastically. It is also a special day for her, as it is the first birthday in the sun. We started the day comfortably with a delicious breakfast. Around 10 o'clock we left the ship and went on a tour of St. George. At the exit, we were once again greeted by a group of steel drummers, whom we enjoyed listening to. To get to the city, you had to walk through a mall that offered souvenirs, jewelry, alcohol, and also fake items. But since we had to go through the passage again, we strolled purposefully towards the exit. Outside, we were greeted by bright sunshine and a crowd of people offering us a sightseeing tour for 10 dollars. We declined with thanks and walked to the Spice Market. The stalls were similar and we eyed the sellers rather than the offerings. Our next destination was Fort Gorge, which is located on the hill and cost us a lot of energy in the midday sun. But from there, we had a wonderful view of St. Gorge, the marina, and the Grande Anse Beach. On the way back to the city, we realized that we had forgotten our swim shirts. Therefore, we decided that Stephan would get the shirts and we would wait for him in the pleasantly cool mall. At first, we wanted to go to the underwater park, but since it could only be reached by boat and the figures were hard to find, we decided to go to the Grande Anse Beach instead. For this, we took the nearby water taxi. It was an old boat with people sitting scattered on the edge. We waited for at least half an hour until 20 people were in the boat. Only then were we allowed to be shipped back and forth for 10 US dollars. When it finally started, we passed by the two gigantic cruise ships and reached the beach in about 15 minutes. Once there, we found a shady spot and jumped into the turquoise water. But it wasn't just a simple day at the beach. Danny spotted boats towing a sofa. He really wanted to do that. Still in the water, he waved one over and in no time we were sitting on the water sofa. However, not for long, on the second attempt, we all fell into the water and the sofa tipped over. Okay, we were definitely too heavy. So we split up. First us girls, and then the boys. The sister-in-law, who had lost her sunglasses, called it a hellish trip, and for me, it was an adrenaline rush. The boys seemed to have enjoyed it. But Stephan almost lost the GoPro too. He just managed to grab it before it flew off his head. To relax, the sister-in-law bought a round of Sex on the Beach, which we eagerly enjoyed. We enjoyed the beautiful weather until 4 pm and spent a leisurely day at the beach. Just as we were leaving, it started to drizzle lightly and a beautiful rainbow appeared. This time we didn't have to wait too long for the boat to depart. The seats were quickly filled, and we huddled together like sardines on the boat. At the very end of the boat, we noticed a newly in love mixed couple (she blond and he black). In other words, you couldn't look away. True to the best kissers from 'Schwiegertochter gesucht', they smacked each other. When we arrived back at the harbor, it was raining harder now, and we took refuge in the mall. I really liked a Louis Vuitton bag there, but they wouldn't negotiate. So we went on board without a shopping bag. In the room, I realized that I had lost my boarding pass on the short way up. At the reception, we both received new cards and I was relieved again. Like the previous days, today we also ate something small first and then did some sports. If this continues, I will really get fit :-)
Tonight was gala evening, fitting for the sister-in-law's birthday. So we dressed up and went to dinner, where the waiters sang a song for the birthday child, brought cake and champagne. Gudrun and her husband (Nello) also waited for us today and were the last to leave the hall. We ended the evening with a nightcap.
