MELBOURNE
Returning to civilization and cooler temperatures, we once again enjoyed city life. The Yarra River, with its many attractions, is the centerpiece of the metropolis and attracts numerous people. Many cafes, street artists, and graffiti characterize the cityscape.
On January 6th, we had 42°C and a "very high risk fire danger" warning! This is the last stage before "Code Red" - so we always have action :)
GREAT OCEAN ROAD
One of Australia's most famous roads, 280 km long, runs along the South Pacific. You pass breathtaking beaches with perfect waves for surfing, small towns that live off tourism, rainforest, and the 12 Apostles, which are not actually 12 apostles. These are rock towers eroded by the sea, wind, and rain, which received their name in the 1960s and were only called that to attract tourism. It definitely worked!
So definitely two places you have to see! :)
