Roadtrip USA East Coast Day 12 (May 9, 2024)

K-G: The drive from New York to Boston takes approximately 5 hours without a break, it feels much longer in the USA than in Germany to cover a distance - maybe it's due to the different units of measurement?

Upon arrival in Boston, we first check into our Airbnb accommodation. Then we drive to a Burger King so Andreas can get some nourishment before heading to the 3rd Hatsune Miku concert. In the meantime, I take care of the dirty laundry at a laundromat.

The rest of the afternoon I spend in downtown Boston walking along the Freedom Trail. This trail passes by many important places related to the American colonists' independence aspirations from the English crown. Unfortunately, it got so cold that I had to warm up in a pizzeria and then unfortunately had to cut short my city tour as the temperature dropped significantly after sunset. Nevertheless, it was a great experience to explore Boston with its numerous historical buildings and countless cozy pubs. There is surely much more to discover here.
