Now we are in Mexico. That was never planned at first, but it turned out that the flight via Cancun was significantly cheaper than from Bogotá. Well, now we're here and I'm glad. The beaches are much nicer than in all of South America, but it's very western here (I always like it unwestern and third world flair). But it's still extremely beautiful here. The journey was terrible. Landing in bad weather with lightning and thunder that continued until the following noon. It was a big crash. But then it got better and we could walk around a bit. Today we are on Isla Mujeres. We actually wanted to snorkel for whale sharks but the tour was canceled due to too much wind. So we were switched but it's also beautiful here. We get beer and something to eat. The water is turquoise and incredibly beautiful. Enrico was already on this island 12 years ago and says it is unrecognizable now. What tourism does. One is also to blame.
