Off the Beaten Path

Today we let ourselves be carried away, first along the Tiber, which now has significantly more water after the extensive rain. Then across the Tiber, or as it is called in Rome, Trastevere. For the people from Cologne, it's the 'wrong side' ;-)

But that's not really so wrong. We visited the Villa Faresina, very grand! Afterwards, re-energized by gelato, we went to the botanical garden. Very beautiful, peaceful, and green! After climbing one of those hills on which Rome (unfortunately) was built, we had a great view of the city. I couldn’t quite capture that photographically. We wandered a bit through the neighborhoods and went to the Bocca della Verita. There, the Asians and Instagram models were, of course, present again 🤭

The weather has been significantly friendlier today with only a few raindrops here and there. I would still upload more photos, but the Wi-Fi is too poor 😁
