The day starts with a bright blue sky and lots of sunshine. We venture into the warm morning with a game (Sarah wins both rounds...). Breakfast, packing up and moving on. Destination: a campsite at Brou Lake in the middle of a forest. Along the way, many clouds gather in the sky, and the temperature drops from a warm and hot 30 degrees to a brisk 18. We are also not spared from the rain... Luckily, our unused and clean toilet in the car is submerged in water. Unfortunately, we placed the toiletry bag on the floor.
When we arrive at the "campsite" (the road to get there is bumpy and unpaved), we discover that there is no space. We drive back on the Princes Highway to Narooma.
There, we find a spot at a campsite right by the beach. Unfortunately, the rain is still following us and there seems to be no improvement in sight. So the plan is to set up a table in the vehicle and turn the driver's seat to play games. But when turning the seat, the electrical connection (sensor cable) of the seatbelt comes loose, causing a corresponding warning light to come on when starting the car: "seat belt system needs repair". Slight uneasiness sets in... Dr. Marco can't let it go. With a pocket knife, tweezers, flashlight, and assistant Sarah (with a lot of patience), we repair the seat belt system. Calm and proud of our achievement, we take advantage of a break in the rain to go to the beach. After a short time, the rain starts again and we retreat into the car.
For dinner, we have well-deserved fajitas! The crowning glory: delicious lemon cream cookies. Unfortunately, the crackers are salty as a result. Fits the day :-p
