Viel Glück euch vom ganzen Herzen Oñemoherakuãva: 06.05.2021
Great to have you visit our blog, where we want to document our big adventure a little.
Thursday, May 6:
At 10 o'clock we let ourselves be poked in the mouth and nose with a much too long stick, assuming that we would be haunting the apartment for the next 24 hours until the test result, completely clueless and expecting a (false) positive test result. No wonder the following scene played out when we were packing our suitcases at home:
Timo, with a slightly panicked tone: Shit, where are my pants? I already packed them all in the suitcase and also noted them in the table.
Doreen, calmly: Didn't you have some space left in the instrument case the other day and cushioned the instruments with something? Were those maybe the pants?
Timo, now slightly shaky: No, that was something else. What am I supposed to wear now?
Doreen, still calm: Well then we'll buy you new pants.
Timo, annoyed: Yeah, with a rapid test beforehand?!
Doreen: So what? And before you collapse, please just take a quick look to see if the pants aren't in the instrument case after all!
You can guess where the pants were found ;-)
After donating four bags of clothes and shoes to the parenting school in Harburg and saying goodbye in person, we finally enjoyed the evening, until suddenly an email popped up announcing our test results in a digital health record: NEGATIVE! Both of us! Phew, never has a negative felt so positive! There is nothing standing in the way of our departure now and we feel mentally ready to write our first blog entry and invite our first family members and friends to accompany us here in the coming weeks and months.
