An American in Switzerland

Oñemoherakuãva: 10.06.2020

Switzerland is a very funny place for itself. I visited the Bernese Highlands and it was a beautiful place. At the first day, when we arrived at the Zürich airport, we managed to go to McDonalds, at this moment, we realized Switzerland is really expensive. Anyways I got myself some burgers there because I like burgers. In Switzerland you will come across following things:

· When you see these huge mountains you will question your existence, since the view is breathtaking. I highly recommend you to take a good camera with you.

· In Switzerland they will drive slowly on the roads, because of the speed limits, so if you don’t want to pay a bill as expensive as 2 paydays, you better drive like they force you to.

· You will be able to eat things like fondue or raclette. They have a ton of different cheese sorts, some taste good, other’s smell like my socks. In addition, they will not stop ask you to say “chuchichästli”, I still don’t have any clue why they want you to say this and what it means.

· If you’re able to speak a little bit German, like me for example, you still won’t understand even one word, since Swiss German sounds like a cat hissing at you.

· Hiking is one of the activities, you can do there! if you give it a chance, you will recognize that it is a lot of fun. You will come across many hikers, which will say “Grüessech” to you, I think this means something like “hello”.
