Day trip in Bali

Today we took a day trip with the driver who picked us up from the airport on Monday. He showed us the sights of Bali and introduced us to the culture and Hinduism.

The original population is completely Hindu and thus significantly influences the culture. There is great tolerance towards all religions and beings. For example, Hindus also set up Christmas Santas at Christmas, and Christians distribute gifts to Hindu children.

During our tour, we visited various temples and two waterfalls (unfortunately, one is a hotspot for Instagram posers). We also visited a coffee plantation and tasted different types of coffee. The specialty of the plantation was coffee that becomes a specialty by going through the intestines of a civet. We enjoyed lunch with a view of the two volcanoes. Our personal highlight was visiting the rice terraces.

After the long day, we had dinner brought to our villa to relax and end the day.
