I have been to this area before, but only passed through. In Glengarriff, there is Garnish Island, a small island in the bay. A popular gathering place for seals sunning themselves on rocks.
The island itself is Mediterranean in design and very green due to the Gulf Stream. Here, plants grow that can only grow here and nowhere else in Ireland. You can cross over with a ferry and circle the island in 2 hours.
After I was done here, I sat down at a fish restaurant and treated myself to a fresh fish from here. Since my bus only came in 2 hours and it was the only bus back for the day, I went for a little walk in the hills.
With my drone, I spotted a small herd of ibexes grazing and apparently living here.
The rest of the time, I waited for my bus and so my time in Ireland slowly but surely came to an end...
