Transfer Paarl - Paternoster - Leeto - Voorstrand

Oñemoherakuãva: 06.11.2022

At the appointed time we left de Leeuwen Estate in Paarl and made our way to Paternoster, the road leading us along the R45. Cornfields and vineyards alternated charmingly. Near Hopefield, we stopped at a padstall (something like a pub with a nursery) to have a drink and rest a bit. After a good half hour, we continued on to Vredenburg and then to Paternoster.

Paternoster is still the classic fishing village with white and blue houses, if you didn't know better, you could think you were in Greece. The village is manageable and we are staying at the Dunes Boutique Guest House in the west of Paternoster, with a direct view of the bay and the sound of the sea.

We took a little walk through the waterfront of Paternoster and then got ready for the evening, which we enjoyed at Leeto (at the eastern end of Paternoster) at a table right at the front with an unobstructed view of the bay and the sea.

After a good night's sleep, with the best sound to fall asleep to, we had breakfast at around 9:00 AM and then set off on a longer walk on the beach. We watched the fishermen as they returned from their catch and also briefly reconnoitered what it looks like at Voorstrand. That's where we'll have our meals today.

Tomorrow we will go to our last destination (Fish Hoek), back to the agglomeration of Cape Town, where we will spend the last days of our wonderful and eventful holiday in South Africa.
