Our time in Darwin

Oñemoherakuãva: 07.12.2017

We have simply enjoyed the last few days. Our day started with sleeping in, having a leisurely breakfast, and then thinking about what to do. We spent quite a lot of time with Vanessa (met her at a camping spot at Kings Canyon during a thunderstorm) and Jonas (met him here in Darwin), both are also from Germany and are also 23/24 years old.

We went back to the museum where we found some animals that we had encountered on our road trip. Finally, we also made it to the Botanical Garden. We didn't expect to find a jungle in the city. We also had a fun day together at the Wave Lagoon. A huge wave pool. We also spent several hours in the pool at our apartment every day. The water is the only place to be comfortable here. The sunsets are also beautiful. It's always around 38 degrees Celsius and 80-100% humidity. So far, we've only had one big storm, which was at night. But in the evening, you can see the lightning over the sea.

Currently, we are still enjoying the beautiful weather and the unemployed life together with Vanessa and Jonas. As soon as they leave the city, we will start selling our camping equipment. We will definitely stay in Darwin until Christmas. We have our own apartment here and kitchen equipment, which makes cooking easy.
