The weather was again very nice and hot today. It is really very changeable at the moment. One day very cold and stormy and the next day over 30 degrees again. Today there was some prevention work on the agenda. Three police officers came to the after-school care center and told the children about their work. They want to show them that the police are not bad, but are there to help. They also told them a lot about drug and alcohol abuse and how important their future is. The children listened very attentively and were very impressed by the three men in uniform. Such prevention work is very important here, because most children do not have a good example at home of what is right and what is wrong. Many parents are drug addicted, drink and smoke. Many of them are also criminals. The children need to understand that what their parents are doing is not good!
