Our time in Rio has unfortunately come to an end. We have to say goodbye to the beach, the warmth and the many possibilities. But before we leave completely, let's review some events from the last few days.
Rio has a beautiful and huge Botanical Garden, but we only saw a tiny part of it. The part is called Parque Lage and is located below Corcovado, the Jesus statue. We won't get there again. In the park there is an atrium, which was decorated for a festival during our visit, with a view of the statue. When strolling through the park, one encounters countless plants and trees, even an aquarium, a cave and a cave with stalactites. You can feel the atmosphere of the jungle and the tropical air that is quite humid. In the entire botanical garden or also in the Tijuca National Park, one could hike and discover for hours. A visit is definitely worth it here.
We spent the last day in Rio differently. Dani took the opportunity to relax a bit and do some jumps in the waves. Unfortunately, someone tried to rob her, but fortunately it didn't work and someone came to help her. Dani packed her things neatly and was also very helpful.
As for me, I took a 3-hour bus ride to Resende and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Along the river, through the forest and past meadows. After arriving at the bus station, I took an Uber and drove another 15 minutes to my long-awaited dream. I arrived at the Resende airport, where the hangar was filled with paragliders and pilots. The day has come when I can finally go skydiving, jumping out of an airplane. Before that, people tried to speak English and I took the opportunity to ask someone who is really good at it. Unfortunately, I had to wait a long time for the flight due to the morning weather, but then it was finally time. However, I would rather not describe it now, but tell the story later :).
