Samara

Before I traveled to Sámara, I spent 2 nights in San José, but there is not much to say about the city, it is not very beautiful and there is not much to see. The 5-hour bus ride luckily passed quickly and the roads were surprisingly good.

In the evening, I already met Sarah, a friend from Switzerland, who was taking a language course there. The next day, I also met Fabienne, whom I already knew and coincidentally ran into. The next few days, I mostly spent at the beach with the others. On Wednesday, I tried surfing for the first time and borrowed the board from time to time.

On the weekend, the five of us rented a car and drove to the nearby Playa Conchal and stayed in an Airbnb in Brasilito. There, too, we spent our time only sunbathing and swimming, but we also saw two stingrays in the water and had a car breakdown.

On Tuesday, I traveled back to San José together with Sarah, where she took the flight back to Switzerland and I continued to Ciudad Colon where I met Julio and Nicol.
