Leaving all that rain behind us we made our way from Kenai peninsula through Anchorage to the north. We camped at Byers Lake. We serviced my klr the next morning and decided after lunch to go on a backcountry camping hike. At 3:30pm, when you would normally arrive at your mountain lodge in the Alps, we started a 12-mile hike up the ridge to skinny lake. We were all packed with about 30 lbs (13 kg).
Saw Mt Denali nearly without clouds. Great hike....
Met another group after 6 hours of non-stop hiking at the campground....
Next day all the way back again fantastic weather.
Daylight at 12pm 🌞
