Island hopping in North Frisia // Day 8 // A farewell Hallig cruise

THERE IS THE SUN AGAIN! The last day once again offered summer temperatures. And so we headed to Nebel on the mudflat path - the fourth one - and even further down to Wittdün! You can see Wittdün very soon - way back there on the horizon - but it takes a while until you get there. Luckily, there was enough time until the ship departed towards Nordstrand (near Husum) at noon: Walking from Norddorf to Wittdün [/uploads/27104130-8c80-11e9-9e3d-971ae711dc96.jpg_large.jpg] Walking from Norddorf to Wittdün On the way 'down', you are almost always accompanied by the lighthouse, where I stood yesterday. [/uploads/8a5a22a0-8c86-11e9-9154-45b22280f1e3.jpeg_large.jpg] And there too! Wittdün itself mainly has a single street that you can stroll up and down while waiting for departure. Also good for getting supplies for the journey. And then the ship came - not a majestic ferry this time, but the 'Adler-Express'. When we set off, I also understood where the name comes from: We raced through the water with full force, the express lived up to its title! And a loyal Amrum seagull dutifully accompanied us for the first part of the way - probably to make sure that we are really gone ;-). Adventurous many changes, but oh wonder: everything worked wonderfully and in the late evening, the cathedral was back in sight! CONCLUSION... Island hopping anytime again, that was really great! And relaxing, versatile, delicious, beautiful. It would have been perfect to come back to Sylt for 2-3 days, there was so much more to see. But if not Sylt, then maybe next time East Frisia ;-).
