Day 24 Nugget Point

Oñemoherakuãva: 18.11.2017

After arriving yesterday ahead of schedule to my southernmost point on my birthday and the penguin experience being an incredibly amazing birthday gift, I can take it easy today. I got a little cold yesterday, so I'm not feeling completely well. The twelve-hour time difference to Germany means that I have my birthday in two time zones, so 36 hours 😋. I'll talk on the phone for a while and then hit the road. I don't have much desire to travel today. So I'll skip anything that I feel is not worth it. Later, several people confirm that my intuitive decision was the right one. However, I'll still visit two great places. The most famous waterfalls in New Zealand and Nugget Point, a nature reserve with a very exposed lighthouse. There is also an observation point for penguins at Nugget Point. Unfortunately, no luck today. In the evening, I'll be going to a simple campground in the nearest larger town. There is Wi-Fi and something that I desperately need: a washing machine and dryer. In the evening, I'll cook a great meal and store the laundry in the VW van. Then I'll fall into bed completely exhausted.
