The vacation is slowly coming to an end. Today we are driving from Merano to Nauders. After a short detour to the entrance of the Timmelsjoch, which I don't want to drive because my shoulder still hurts from yesterday, we take the familiar route over the Reschen Pass. At Lake Reschen, we enjoy a break by the shore in the sun.
Then we check into the Astoria Adventure Hotel in Nauders. Since it's still early afternoon, we go for a swim in the pool and then stroll through the village.
On Thursday, we drive back to Landsberg via the Fern Pass. Two motorcycle accidents within an hour make us pensive. We were so lucky to come out of it all unharmed!
And the bottom line: 3,580 km through Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, and France, saw a lot, rode many curves, met nice people, and saw amazing nature.
And, when the French write "Chaussee deforne" it would also mean "Field" here. And speed limits in Italy seem to be just for decoration on the roadside 😳😂.
And you can get by with even less than what you took, even though I packed well this time. Everything that was necessary and very little that was not needed.
