On Sunday morning, I left early to continue heading west, where the most beautiful waterfalls are supposed to be.
I noticed when I set off that my tank was almost empty, and the gas stations along the way didn’t look very functional. Fortunately, I found one in the next village that was working 😅 I filled up and then realized that I had no cash left 😂 (you can only pay with cash at gas stations here) I apologized a lot and drove 20 minutes to the next ATM and back. I think the guy didn’t believe I would come back and was really happy when I did 😅 Anyway, I was finally able to continue my journey and was on the road for another 2 hours.
At the Lemukih waterfalls, I traversed very narrow paths with a guide who accompanied me. There were two very large and beautiful waterfalls that were crowded with tourists.
On the way back, there were many steep stairs to climb. I can already feel the muscle soreness from the whole weekend 😅
When we finally got to the top, I drove for another good hour to my next Airbnb.
First, I drove through the jungle for 30 minutes, where I didn’t see even one scooter coming towards me, and the roads were very narrow and full of potholes.
Then suddenly I came across a highway that was very busy 😅 I was a bit confused there. Along the roadside, there were monkeys everywhere 😂 but I didn’t dare to take pictures. 😅
When I finally arrived, I went for a swim in the pool and had something to eat there while watching the sunset.
The Airbnb is a treehouse in the middle of the jungle. Very interesting but totally cozy ☺️
I have a small balcony with bean bags and I’m letting the evening wind down ☺️
