The hut attendant yesterday, a bit special. But nice, that's always the most important thing. After it rained, he called us over and showed us the view of the Venice Lagoon. One could see a white line, but still, it's 140 km away. A strange feeling. Now the destination suddenly feels so close, but somehow I still feel in the middle of it all.
We started without breakfast, with the mindset that there are no more uphill meters in the climb. But that's not true, we soon realized. It was cloudy this morning, a bit windy, and the trail led us up and down vast meadows. It reminded us a bit of Scotland or Ireland. After a break, we mainly descended on rocky forest ground into the village of Revine. We rested briefly, then the path continued along vineyards towards Nogarolo and Tarzo. A break? Of course, and soon we see an ice cream parlor. The good thing here is that you can also sit down, even if you only have ice cream in your hand.
We are now in the Prosecco region. On the way to Arfanta, we pass numerous vineyards. Again and again, we enjoy beautiful views over the hills of northern Veneto. When we arrived at the hotel, we were immediately served a glass of Prosecco. It tastes delicious, and the view from the terrace into the valley below is a treat.
