Waitapu Bridge Reserve, Takaka
Today we want to take advantage of the super good weather and spend the day at the beach. But before that, we will explore the small town of Takaka. By the way, the marble in the Parliament in Wellington comes from there. After visiting some of the quaint shops, we will drive to Tōtaranui Beach in Abel Tasman National Park, where we will go swimming and sunbathe. In the evening, we will go to Wharariki Beach, where we hope to spot seals from the resident colony. On site, we will not only see one of the most beautiful beach landscapes, but we will actually get to see many seals and their babies. To our surprise, we will be able to watch the young ones playing in the water from incredibly close proximity.
