Cobden Shipwreck Point, Greymouth
Once again, we find ourselves in the workshop in the morning, where the final touches are being made. Unfortunately, there is no way around spending so much money in the workshop, but now we hope to get even more money back when selling. In the pouring rain, we finally make our way to the National Kiwi Centre. There, we actually see Kiwis, the national bird of New Zealand, which are rare, very shy and also nocturnal. In addition to the Kiwis, we see some other typical animals of the country, such as giant eels and prehistoric lizards.
In the afternoon, we head to a campground near a hotel & brew pub. In the evening, we go there and try a beer from the in-house brewery. In the meantime, we finally play a round of Phase 10 again. Before going to bed, we go to a nearby Glow Worm Dell. However, a little skeptical of really seeing glowworms there, we walk through a small rock entrance. We turn around and are amazed by the sight of the rock wall covered with glowworms. It is so beautiful, we could have never imagined it.
