In Mühlenhagen, my breakfast falls from the sky.

The “Riesling” is already waiting for me in my room.

It’s a pity that I can only manage half a bottle. Drowsiness overtakes me.🥱

The next morning, another surprise awaits me, but of a different kind.

Since a travel group is simultaneously staying at the hotel, I am assigned a seat, I still can't believe it, right next to the reception for my breakfast.😳

Nevertheless, I dare to present my dearest wish to have my breakfast outside.

“We always have breakfast inside here,” I receive a resolute reply.

Oh wow, that was quite a statement. But at the same time, it’s a signal for me to leave. Time to get out of here.🚴‍♀️

I try to at least get a coffee ☕️ in the town of Altentreptow.

In front of a coffee shop, the owner seems to want to attract customers by sitting in front of his business reading a newspaper. That’s what I think.

When I ask him for a coffee, he says he doesn’t open until 10:00 AM.

It’s only 9:00 AM.

So no coffee.😫

Chin up, adjust the helmet and let’s keep going.

Once again, I'm on a “favorite route.” This means; gravel path and across the fields. I often get lost. Up the hill, down the hill.

At a lonely farm, the people must think, now the “Old Lady” is passing by for the 4th time. 🙄 Well, reading maps isn’t exactly my strong suit either.

And all this without breakfast, and the sun is shining particularly hot again today.😎

What would I give for a cup of coffee right now.🙏🏼🤪

Finally, I see the first houses of a village. Mühlenhagen, which should be mentioned here by name.

Well, a village like any other...

However... as I am almost out of the village and happen to glance to the left, I discover a yellow glowing house with a terrace in front that invites me in.

At the entrance, there’s a tiny little sign, almost overlooked, with the word “Käffchen?” on it.

It sounds like a true promise.🤩

On the terrace, Nadine&John from Hamburg are having breakfast, and of course, their dog Luna.🐶 So cute.

They and two children set out from Hamburg three years ago to build a new life here. They want to turn 3 hectares into an adventure park and have plenty of ideas. After a longer conversation, we exchange numbers. I could offer some courses 🧘‍♀️....

Not only do I get the best coffee in the world 🌎 and a wonderfully prepared breakfast 🍳 with a lot of love here, but also the opportunity to get involved in the future if I want to.
