The Rhine

On the Rhine in the sunshine

We decided to go to the water in the wonderful sunshine. Since we don't have the sea nearby, we go to the Rhine. With a bit of luck, it will also sound like the sound of the sea - with a lot of imagination and a few waves generated by cargo ships.

Many people from all over BW and the Palatinate had this idea. There weren't as many parking spaces at the Leopoldshafen ferry as needed. Luckily, some visitors were already on their way home. In any case, the restaurant there had quite a few visitors. The terrace faces the Rhine in the sun and the seats were occupied accordingly.

Of course there were also mobile homes. Some users had set up a small picnic table and were enjoying a meal in the sun. Due to the amount of water in the river, it was not possible to go far on the road: closed due to... of the flood.

So just took a few nice photos and drove home. After all, we were out and about in bright sunshine and enjoyed our stay by the water.
