Barely started

Slowly but surely the tingling is coming back. In 3 weeks we will be making our 4th trip to Africa. The journey will take us from Berlin via Doha to Windhoek. From there, we will head to the north of Namibia, along endless rivers to the Victoria Falls on the border with Zimbabwe, further to Botswana's Okavango Delta and back to Namibia.

If we survive the overcrowded Berlin airport and depart on time (which is as likely in Berlin as Easter bunnies at Christmas), then we will have 1 hour to change planes in Doha. Once that's done, we have another 5 hours in economy class until we finally reach Africa. I'm already grinning at the thought of seeing the first black person wearing a ski mask and cotton jacket trembling in front of me while I'm too warm in my top...

But for now, let's prepare. Trying on the old Africa gear reveals that I seem to have become too small for my weight 😁. I need something new.

The cameras will be tested as always in the Schorfheide Wildlife Park. According to the signs, there are many wild animals there. However, the enclosures are so large (which is good for the animals) that you can only see the Polish wild horse, deer, and wild boar. The rest is so far away that it could be in Poland. So it's ideal for testing the telephoto lens. It works every time I visit 😁.

That's the most important thing taken care of. Now time is running and the tingling is getting stronger and stronger.
