4.5.22 I leave Mulhouse at 07.58 and arrive in Montpellier at 12.54. That's the theory, unfortunately SNCF has a technical problem on the line, so the train arrives about an hour late. The 300km/h speed doesn't help much when the train waits again. But otherwise, it's comfortable, everyone has their reserved seat, there's no pushing and shoving.
In Montpellier, I only take a short tour, I still have about 45km to go to my next destination. So I head down to the coast on a well-developed cycle path. I don't choose the official route, but rather the natural paths along the dams. Officially, there's a sign prohibiting bicycles, but nobody cares about it here. But it was worth taking this route, you can also see flamingos.
I arrive in Sète shortly before a thunderstorm in the evening.
