Today was a short travel day from Colon to the smaller neighboring island of Bastimentos. We spent the morning with Wendy and Simon having an extended breakfast. Then it was time to pack and a little melancholy set in. But when it's the most beautiful, it's probably time to leave. After a heartfelt farewell, the beach bus picked us up and we drove to Bocas Town.
Bought mosquito spray at the supermarket, which is almost exclusively operated by Chinese people, and quickly had a wrap. The waiter was totally spaced out, which seems to be the norm here 😁 Strengthened, we then went to the water taxi in the rain.
After a short and wet crossing, we arrived at Carmen's Place. After a nice welcome, we went straight for a snorkeling round. However, the visibility was rather poor.

So what do you do on an island that can't be walked on? Right! You drink beer and eat well.
Carmen cooked excellently for the whole group of Canadians, Dutch people, and the two of us. Her husband always catches the fish very fresh. Today there was tuna, let's see what he catches tomorrow. For us, there is a boat trip tomorrow. Excited!
PS: Saw a sloth plus baby. Susi is happy now 🐺
