Last night we booked our snorkeling trip, called snorkel in English, what a cool word 😂😂, we are going to the Whitsunday Islands on the Thundercat, a red awesome speedboat. In the morning, we didn't know that it would be one of our absolute highlights, not because of the snorkeling but because of the beautiful beach. GUYS, it's paradise if you like sun, sand, beach, and sea. It's the number 1 beach for me so far.
But let's go back to the beginning, 9:00 pickups at the campsite, we are driven to the harbor and check-in there, we get our Stinger Suits and our briefing, then we get on the boat. If you want action and the full blast, sit in the front, cowards and quick pukers in the back. Anna and I sit in the front, front row 😎. And let me tell you, it was worth it, the thing is really fast, we fly over the water, I filmed with my GoPro, Rudy, you would have had so much fun, I'm sure. Unfortunately, my GoPro is now on the Great Barrier Reef, LOST forever 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩, well, it probably filmed for another hour...
WHAT A FUCK, I tell you 😡
Anyway, I can't change it now, so we flew over the sea and from a distance, it doesn't look that spectacular, but then we landed and took a 10-minute walk up to the lookout platform, and you realize how beautiful it is. White sand, turquoise water, beautiful landscapes, unusually sunny today, it was the only sunny day, so we chose it for the trip.
Then we had 2 hours of beach time, which we enjoyed until the last minute. Then back on the boat and visited 2 snorkel spots, which personally didn't impress me that much, neither the colors of the corals nor the variety of fish species. I think it says it all when the skipper knows one fish (George) by name, okay, it was big and had 3-4 women, but it wasn't the highlight. But we don't want to complain, but enjoy what we see.
Cam, one of the trip's companions, gives us a recommendation for Cairns - Cape Tribulation, we absolutely have to go there, gives us the address and telephone number of Kelli, we will do that and he was right, but more about that later...
The return trip was a bit quieter, even though the companions turn into entertainers and give it their all with music and nice conversations, we have so many beautiful impressions to process...
The briefing on board was funny 😉 about life vests, similar to on the plane, he says, the emergency exits are all around the boat, if you can't find one, just stay seated, the water will find you 😂😂😂
So, enough talking, now some pictures have to follow...
