Today we went to the Aling-Aling Waterfall with cliff jumping and slides. I jumped first (5m), Max filmed. Then he jumped. Headfirst. Not a good idea. He dislocated his shoulder. It looked really weird. He was in pain. The locals took a few minutes to put it back in place. But the pain remained.

I then swam a little, but I didn't want to jump anymore (there were still 10 and 15m jumps available). The fear and respect for diving were now too great. Max said he probably couldn't drive. Hmm, but we both had our own scooter and were two hours away from the hostel...

Fortunately, it somehow worked out with his shoulder. If you really want something, you can make it happen. Even if it may come with pain and suffering.

The next day, Max mainly rested. I dropped him off at the doctor and then visited the Monkey Forest nearby. I picked him up after lunch. Nothing was broken, just a slightly damaged capsule, hence the pain. He had to wear a sling for the next six weeks.

At noon, I went to the rice terraces in Tegallalang. Then I went to a temple called Gunung Kawi Sebatu. There were also two pools with sacred water for bathing. I even got into a conversation with the locals. Last stop: Pura Gunung Kawi, a temple surrounded by nature.

For the next night, I had booked a tour to Mount Batur. I was supposed to be ready at 2 o'clock in the morning, and at 2:30 am I was actually picked up. There was a long hiking trail uphill. It was recommended to wear long pants. I regretted it. I was sweating like crazy. But at the top, when I finally sat down, I realized the advantage of the cold and was glad about it.

The reason why you start in the middle of the night is actually to see the sunrise. If only there weren't any clouds. At least the view of the lake was beautiful. After some smaller stops, we walked back a long way on a paved road to the van. Optional stops could have been made at the rice terraces and a coffee plantation. Everyone in the van unanimously shouted, 'No!' Everyone was sleeping. Just in time back for breakfast. Slept for two more hours. In the afternoon, went to a mask museum, but it closed right when we arrived. With Max, went to the local market and got convinced to buy a tank top. In the evening, had burgers with Max.
