Day 5 and 6 Tulum - pretty hot

Publicado: 27.11.2023

Good morning !

The first week is almost done and my work colleagues only have 11 weeks of representation left ;)

On day 5 we had to give ourselves a break. It's just too hot in Cancu at the moment to always go full throttle. Well, what does it mean to take a break? The pedometers show over 20,000 steps and we were able to check out the beaches and stands in the Zona Hotelera. Unfortunately, the hotels are built in such a way that it is difficult or difficult to reach many beaches. We wanted to visit the lighthouse, but couldn't get there because of the hotels. Unfortunately, the public beaches in the above-mentioned zone are often littered with plastic. The Langosta beach, which apparently only the locals use and which is no longer in the zone, was clean and well maintained.

The beach Playa las Perlas is also a pearl right in front of our door. Secluded from the hustle and bustle, palm trees provide shade and there are seating options. We will spend our day 7 here again before continuing on to Lima.

Day 6

After the adventure on day 4, we dared again to book the trip with the same provider on day 5. We were pleasantly surprised. We were picked up shortly after 7. Collected quite a few once again. And then stood in a mall for the new assignment. Ok 👌 let's be honest with ourselves, we could have done better with organization in Germany. Unfortunately it only started shortly before 9am.

We drove to Tulum without a sales event and much hassle. In the best weather for frying fried eggs on the street, we were allowed to look at the site for almost 2 hours. It could have been a good half hour more here. Above you will find beautiful sunny greetings in the form of pictures :)

Almost everything went smoothly, unfortunately a couple with a child was missing at the agreed time. They arrived a good 25 minutes late...

This delayed the process somewhat. The nearby cenote (underwater lake) was visited for a good hour

There was also a meal here.

The water was super clear and refreshing. It was just the right moment at 40 degrees. ❤️

After this time out and the strengthening we went to another highlight. Coba. Also an abandoned site. So big that it still hasn't been fully explored today. So big that the entrance to the main structure is over 2 kilometers away. You remember 40 degrees. :D

Well the Mexicans had a fabulous one 💡. We rent bicycles. Unfortunately, the Mexicans have problems. These people are usually only 160cm tall and apparently only need children's bikes :'D

Now we went on the children's bike through the jungle over hill and dale to the main building. Unfortunately, this is no longer allowed to be entered since Corona. We would have liked to enjoy the view.

But the drive and the jungle were really a beautiful experience. Except for the mosquitoes including the Zick / Dengue and whatever other diseases I know of. We were well looked after and sprayed. But no one can imagine that the bastards will dive behind the school bags and bite your ankle. We're not talking about normal sneakers but about 20 to 30 cm high padded hiking shoes!

Luckily, we've survived it so far. On the way back the guide threw in a surprise - well we still had to collect some at Playa de Carmen. We were allowed to stay there for an hour. This beach and pedestrian street are so much nicer than Cancun. It was so pleasant and just great. We would go on a beach vacation there. Opposite the playa is the island of Cozumel. The beaches there are also said to be truly paradisiacal. Maybe we'll catch up on that with World Tour 3.0 :)

Today's excursion ended at 10 p.m. at the starting point.

We're happy that we don't have any plans for tomorrow and can just live for the day. It was just long and too warm. But nice.

Have a nice start to the working week!

Freddy and Laura.
