After a hearty breakfast at the hotel and with dry clothes, we hit the road again early in the morning. The rain had stopped in the morning or had already finished before us, as we often drove over still quite wet roads, fortunately only on paved ones today.
The hills are our constant companions, like in real life: a constant up and down. They mostly felt similar to the past few days, except for several really long nasty climbs. Before lunch in Gnesta, we also rode longer distances through forest areas and saw small black piglets crossing the road and a group of fallow deer. In the morning, the roads were still relatively empty - Midsummer!
After lunch, we started riding on a slightly bigger road towards Södertälje, but it was so heavily trafficked and without a bicycle lane that we spontaneously changed to an alternative route and went through Vagnhärad. In the afternoon, we had ideal cycling weather with some sun and clouds. Ultimately, this led us to a campsite at another ferry, so tomorrow we want to ride into Stockholm from the south.
