Today we can sleep in again.
After playing chorales and having breakfast, we take down the tents and load the trailer. Pete, Franz, and 2 musicians from our group go shopping, and at around 1 pm we leave for the next campsite.
The route takes us along Highway 70, where we have an incredible view of the mountainous landscape of Plumas National Forest. There is a river flowing in the valley, which accompanies us for almost the entire journey.
After about two and a half hours, we arrive at our campsite near Graeagle and immediately set up the tents - by now, we are experienced at it.
Pete and Shelly accompany us with their camper and have already announced that they want to cook for us. First, we have a small snack consisting of nachos and various dips. Then we have a small rehearsal on the campsite, and we even have a bit of an audience. Linda even gets support from a young vacationer on the mallets.
Afterwards, a few of us help Pete and Baur with the preparations for dinner. We have burritos, and Pete explains to us how to roll them up properly.
After the meal, everyone helps with cleaning up and then sits together in the large area in the middle of our camp, enjoying cool drinks and playing card games as the evening draws to a close.
