After a night as "Fanz Meersdong" with my Fiat Punto in a trucker motel, I was the smallest vehicle in the parking lot and at 6 a.m. there was hell to pay on the same spot, I went back to Oamaru in the still ongoing rain.
On the way there, there was a short stop in Moeraki, this time not for food, but to look at the Boulders (more on that later).
Arriving at the Chinese motel, I quickly went to Bridgestone (more on that later) and then to the city for sightseeing. However, it's not very appealing to do so in pouring rain. So back to the i-Store to see if they could help me with my further travel planning.
They could in the sense that there are no accommodation options within a 150km radius of Queenstown.
Frustration!!!!
I quickly reworked my travel plans and went back to Christchurch to get to the West Coast via the Arther Pass.
As I learned in the past few days, good food and something to drink always help with frustration. So I went to a recommended restaurant right away. At 5 p.m., it's not very lonely there...
