Today we had to say goodbye to Bled. It was still pouring. Unfortunately, we had no luck with the weather in Bled this year - according to the hotel owner, it wasn't a normal summer either.
The rain accompanied us on the drive through the Pedor Karawanken Tunnel, which is about 7.4 km long, to Carinthia, Austria. Later, we also encountered a traffic jam - at least we had a good view of Hohenwerfen Castle from the highway. According to the radio, there were also many floods in Carinthia and Styria. :o
Around 5 pm or shortly after, we arrived in Linz and checked into our apartment at Harry's Home. Everything is very modern and on the floor, there is even a service station where you can do laundry and refill toilet paper, towels, and tea. The price/performance ratio here is really great. Parking is also free, unless you want to park in the underground garage (we had to pay for parking ourselves in Bled...).
We unpacked and the girls went to play in the children's room. At least that gave us a short coffee break ;-)
Afterwards, we took a walk to Pleschinger Lake, which is just around the corner...a little evening stroll (without rain). It was very idyllic. The girls immediately went to the playground. There are many beautiful bathing spots by the lake with changing rooms, toilets, and showers...and a naturist area (even shielded from the outside). Great bathing lake with better weather. On the way back, we were even able to spot several rabbits.
