Melbourne

Publicado: 12.01.2018

Now we have already spent a week in Melbourne or in the neighborhoods of Melbourne. By now, we have gotten used to the cold and changeable weather. One day 35 degrees and sun and the next 20 degrees and rain, almost like home in Germany in the summer. Our accommodation from airbnb is quite nice, we have our own room and bathroom. We share the rest of the apartment with Philippa, a very busy yoga teacher.

In the last few days, we have explored St.Kilda. The pedestrian zone, the botanic garden, and of course the beach. We always walk as public transport here works with a kind of credit card and we don't want to get one (too complicated). One day we met with Ross and Jenny. Ross picked us up by taxi and we went to the beach, after a long sunbathing session, we were invited for a meal. The next day Jenny had a day off and visited us, together we drove to Brighton Beach in her car. It is known for its colorful beach huts. Since it was raining a bit, there were few tourists, good for us. In the evening we cooked together and planned the upcoming road trip. Jenny accompanies us for the first part of the Great Ocean Road.

Next week here in Melbourne, we want to go to the city center again and do something together with Ross. We take it easy and see what happens.
